Story: Half a year ago, Grof appeared on the streets of our city and while he was asking passers-by for just a little bit of food, he ended up in a shelter in abysmal conditions. There he was unprofessionally castrated and during the surgery they did not properly tie off a blood vessel that caused internal bleeding and would have soon led to septic shock if seven women had not joined together and decided to save him. As soon as we could we rescued him from the shelter and took him to the vet to have his castration revised. This was when Grof (Count) got his name, which shows his strength and the greatness of his spirit. For the next two months he was on antibiotic therapy, receiving all the love and attention he needed, and just when we thought he had fully recovered, the consequences of his stay in the shelter and on the streets reappeared and Grof was diagnosed with tick-borne disease. His struggle began anew. With the help of adequate veterinary care and our love, care and effort, Grof survived and is now completely healthy and waiting for his family! His story is a story of resiliance and persistance, that deserves a happy ending.
